Collaboration needs a free Voyager account. How sharing works
Three roles, no surprises
-
Viewer
- Open and send shared requests
- See collections, folders and environments
- Secret values are withheld
-
Editor
- Everything a viewer can
- Change requests, folders and environments
- Can’t change who has access
-
Admin
- Everything an editor can
- Share, change roles and revoke access
- Grant up to Admin, never more
Teams have their own roles — Owner, Admin and Member — for managing the team itself.
How access works
-
Access flows down, never sideways
Share a collection and its folders and requests come with it — never the sibling collections next to it, and never the workspace’s environments.
-
Share exactly what you mean
Workspaces, collections, folders, single requests and environments can each be shared on their own.
-
Teams set sensible defaults
In a team workspace, team owners and admins get Admin and members get Editor — and a per-person role can always raise or lower that for one workspace.
-
Private stays private
A private workspace grants nothing from team membership alone; only the people you add get in.
-
Editors can’t widen access
Changing who can reach a resource, or transferring it, takes Admin. Editors can change content, not the guest list.
-
Secrets stay with editors
Viewers never receive secret variable values — the server withholds them.
Collaboration questions
Does Voyager charge per seat for collaboration?
No. Sharing, teams, roles, activity and notifications are free, with no seat limits.
Do I need an account to collaborate?
Yes — sharing and sync need a free Voyager account (email or Google sign-in). Everything else works without one.
Can I share one collection without sharing my whole workspace?
Yes. Sharing a collection gives access to that collection’s folders and requests only. Other collections and the workspace’s environments stay private.
How do invitations work?
Invite people to a team by email or with an invitation link. Pending invitations can be resent or revoked at any time.
Can I hand a collection or team to someone else?
Yes. Ownership of a collection or a team can be transferred to another member.
