VS Code questions
Is the Voyager VS Code extension free?
Yes. The extension is free on the Visual Studio Code Marketplace, with every feature and all 14 protocols included.
Which VS Code version do I need?
VS Code 1.90 or later. Persistent local storage uses the Node runtime bundled with recent VS Code releases, so keeping VS Code up to date is recommended.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works locally without signing in. Sign in with a free account (email and password) to sync your workspace with the web app and share with your team.
Is it on Open VSX for VSCodium or Cursor?
Not yet. Today the extension is published on the Visual Studio Code Marketplace.
How is it different from the web app?
It’s the same workspace, with more reach: VS Code runs Voyager in a real Node process, so it supports gRPC and PostgreSQL, connects to FTP, SFTP, SMTP, TCP and UDP directly, and can run mock servers.
